I am considering building a 12 x 12 sun room attached to my house with cathedral ceilings, I want to put in 3 Sona tubes @ 10 inches in diameter. Would the roof  be strong enough to support them or should I use bigger rafters?

Answer:

As long as you are not putting all the tubes in one bay I think it will be just fine. Cut your holes for the tubes as tight as you can so you minimize the weakening of the roof sheeting and of course don't cut through any of the rafters, keeping  the tubes in the bays. Gordon
